The track is taken from the anonymous East London producer and social entrepreneur’s debut album 'Your Card Has Been Declined' (on Salmon Universe). ‘Icecaps...’ begins as a plaintive, vocoder-led retro-ballad before expanding into doomy MIDI sax meltdowns and keytar freakouts. The best of brazen hypnagogic pop meets 1980s soundtrack mastery.
The song’s clip, by upcoming Californian animator Eli Rogan, is the track's perfect visual accompaniment. A 90s CGI landscape of saxophone-wielding icecaps and cute-but-confused PC terminals speeds up into glorious pandemonium, featuring the stylings of legend Gasper Sax.
