Teen sensation
Daniel René got involved in the fashion model industry while working for Tommy Hilfiger at the age of nine. He joined
MDO five years later, debuting in a live performance in Lima, Peru. Soon the young artist decided to start a solo career, signing up to Emilio Estefan's Crescent Moon Records, working along with songwriters Diane Warren,
Jon Secada, and
Steve Morales, among others.
René's self-titled debut album was released by Sony Music in January of 2001, climbing on the charts for the first time with a song called "I Take It Back." ~ Drago Bonacich
