David Van Day

David Van Day

This UK vocalist found success as a member of mid-70s singing group Guys And Dolls between 1974 and 1977. Along with co-member and girlfriend Thereze Bazar, he broke away from the band and formed the duo Dollar. Between 1978 and 1982 they notched up 11 chart entries. The break-up of their relationship also marked a temporary halt to their recording career as a duo, and both embarked on solo careers. Van Day scored a minor hit with his first and only solo single, ‘Young Americans Talking’. He then turned his hand to artist management until he teamed up with Bazar again in 1986, and they picked up musically where they left off three years earlier. In 1998, he was participating in a revamped Bucks Fizz line-up. © TiVo
