Dehyper (pronounced DE-HIGH-PER) emerged in 2017 from the underground rock scene in Moscow, bringing together powerful rhythms, angular riffs, and dark lyrical sensibilities. Through their writing and passionate performances, they portray what it means to be musicians in modern Russia. Inspired by western music and bands (Deftones, Chris Rea, David Bowie, At The Drive-In) they heard growing up in Russia, founding members Alexey, Boris and Matvey began writing their own brand of energetic, post-rock in college. After a chance encounter with Simon, a newly located and well-established English drummer, Dehyper in its current form was born. Having played constantly in and around Russia since 2017, delivering their high energy, crowd engaging performances, Dehyper have developed a passionate and committed fan base. They are loved by their audience for the powerful combination of synth and guitar sounds and memorable vocals.
