Digby

Digby

When their singer walked out of a recording session, the remaining members of 100 Acre Wood -- Mark Book, John Shiner, Paul Moeller, Rich Oeffinger and Ben Schneider -- scrapped their name and readjusted their sound. As Paul Moeller put it, "The dynamic changed and it offered us the perfect opportunity to try something new." What was on tap for the re-invigorated Louisville, Kentucky-based quintet was a heady mix of power chords and pop choruses. Framed by clever, entendre-heavy lyrics, Digby's riveting power pop found its footing when the band released Go Digby in 2003. That year, the band was picked up by Madacy, who polished up seven of the songs from their debut, and added a handful of new offerings. Together, these 14 tracks made up the band's, Falling Up. Released in 2004, Falling Up made solid inroads with radio airplay in the Midwest.
