DJ Antoine is a house DJ/producer who enjoyed phenomenal success in his Swiss homeland, where his albums regularly charted in the Top Ten and occasionally reached number one. Born Antoine Konrad and based in Basel, he established himself on the Swiss dance scene during the mid-'90s when he opened up a dance club called House Café. He released his debut single, "Sound of My Life," in 1997 and his first mix album, The Pumpin' House Mix, in 1998. His 12" EP releases, on labels such as Clubstar and Work Records, were generally produced in tandem with Mad Mark (born Fabio Antoniali). DJ Antoine experienced breakthrough success in 2000 with the mix album Houseworks 01 -- a Top 20 hit that became his first release to appear on the Swiss albums chart -- and then again later in the year with Mainstation, another mix album, this one a Top Ten hit. In subsequent years, DJ Antoine released a steady stream of albums -- some DJ mixes, other production showcases -- and they regularly charted in the Top Ten. The 2005 DJ mix The Black Album was his first CD to hit number one on the album charts. Studio albums 2009, 2010, and 2011 all hit the top spot as well. His 2011 single "Welcome to St. Tropez" was a huge dancefloor hit and sold over a million copies. The 2013 album Sky Is the Limit (containing the number one hit single "Bella Vita") and 2014 follow-up We Are the Party also topped the Swiss album chart. In 2015 he collaborated with Akon for the single "Holiday." The song appeared on his 2016 full-length, Provocateur, which also included collaborations with Jay Sean and Eric Lumaire. © Jason Birchmeier /TiVo
