Dom James

After learning composition and music as a teenager, Dom James went to work for DeWolfe Music building a career working behind the scenes of numerous short films, television shows, and commercials as a composer, creating new work that often was meant to emulate a particular genre or era. He had a viral smash in 2019 with the original song “I Found a Place In My Heart”, which he wrote with lyricist Tommy Antonio for a Range Rover commercial. The soulful, Motown-inspired tune, sung by Emma Smith, of The Puppini Sisters fame, had many online clamoring for a commercial release of a full song, and not just the 30 seconds of it used in the ad. He would follow that up orchestrating the score for the ITV series Sanditon. In 2020 he worked on his biggest film to date handling the orchestration on the comic book adaptation Birds of Prey. © ©Copyright Music Story Steve Woods 2020
