Empress AD was formed in London around the talents of brothers Oliver (guitars and vocals) and
Alex Loring (bass), guitarist Tom Meadon, and drummer Edd Unwin. Drawing inspiration from bands like
King Crimson,
Opeth,
Pink Floyd, and
Mastodon, the quartet took its time honing its unique style both at home and on the road playing alongside bands like
Baroness,
Kvelertak, and
Bring Me the Horizon before inking a deal with Roadrunner Records in 2013.
Empress AD issued
