Evenrude was formed in Los Angeles in 1996 by ex-University of Michigan student Chris King (vocals, lyrics), also featuring guitarist
Cake, bassist Dave Wadsworth, and drummer Greg Priest. The band signed to Pinch Hit Records and released its debut album, Superabsorbent, in 1998. ~ Steve Huey
