Farbod Afraz

Farbod Afraz is an Iranian-British Rapper, Music Producer and Songwriter. He was born in November 1991 in Tehran, Iran. He became a Persian Hip hop fan after listening to the album of the first Persian rapper, Hichkas (Iranian Rapper) in 2005, as well as to Eminem's album, The Eminem Show. Surviving cancer in 2005 made him realise that he wanted to follow his dreams and live life to the fullest, he started making music in 2006, something he had always dreamt of doing for a long time. Initially, he invested himself in the pop genre, but after a while, he started to focus on Hip Hop and created an underground group called Wanted Band. Wanted Band was a group in Tehran which started publishing music from 2008 and which fell apart in 2010. He then began to work as an individual MC and learnt music composing. His first album, The Thirteenth of Aban, was released in winter of 2012, it included 10 tracks which he had entirely composed on his own. In 2013, he had joined the KozAz Records Company and his second album, The Chaos, was released at the end of the year. He left the Company in November 2017. In 2014, he studied sound production at the Kelvin College in Glasgow for a year, which enabled him to professionalise himself in sound and music production. He went to the University of Aberdeen in 2015 to study Petroleum Geology and Geology and graduated in 2019 with the BSc degree. In October 2018, he published his new single track Rebirth (Tavalode Dobareh in Persian) on Iranian websites and music stream services. This track was an announcement of his new record label called Boom Records (Boom means Canvas in Persian) which founded by himself.
