An accomplished dance producer, both behind the scenes and in the spotlight, Frenchman
Feadz launched his career in the late '90s working alongside electro artist
Mr. Oizo. Born Fabien Pianta,
Feadz did most of the turntable work on, and was featured on the tour for,
Oizo's 1999 album
Analog Worms Attack. Two years later he made his solo debut when the High-B EP was released by
Ellen Allien's label
BPitch Control, while his 2005 EP,
Forward 4, launched as a series of collaborations with his then-girlfriend
Uffie.
Feadz was the producer behind
Uffie's 2005 breakthrough "Pop the Clock," a single that would be licensed by the Ed Banger label a year later. His solo debut for the label came in 2007 when the "Edwrecker" track landed on the Ed Rec, Vol. 2 compilation, with his EP
Happy Meal arriving the year after that. The EPs
People Numbers Money Business (2009) and The Unfinished Feadz Fairytale (2010) followed, along with work on
Uffie's 2010 debut album,
Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans. His solo debut finally arrived in 2014 when Ed Banger released
Instant Alpha, an album featuring contributions from
Kito,
Teki Latex, and
Big Dope P. ~ David Jeffries
