Following the autumn release of previous single ‘One Day’ (supported by Huw Stephens and BBC 6 Music) and a busy year of touring and festival appearances, the Bradford 5-piece mark the beginning of the year with a summery slice of anthemic indie-rock, recalling Beck and The Happy Mondays. Despite its celebratory and uplifting feel, the lyrics reveal a slightly darker quality, hinting at introspection and self-doubt; “And I can’t help but feeling like I’m losing my way”. Produced by Lee Smith (The Cribs, Easy Life, Pulled Apart By Horses) at Greenmount Studios in Leeds, the track’s release coincides with some exciting forthcoming live appearances for the band, including a headline London show at Notting Hill Arts Club, support for The Specials at a 5,000 capacity Piece Hall show in Halifax, following a recent special headline show for Independent Venue Week at the Exchange Arts Centre in Keighley, West Yorkshire. FLING are: Charles McSorley (Vocals), Jack Winn (Guitar), Billy Fielding (Drums), Jake Lees (Bass) and Sam Malynowsky (Keyboards).
