Folque were formed in 1973 and had a strong, ringing sound, their music based on rich Norse folk legend as well as English folk songs. They disbanded in 1984, but later re-formed in 1992 as an acoustic four-piece unit, playing their old repertoire in a back-to-basics format. There have been many members in
Folque’s lineup from the '70s into the new millennium, including Jørn Jensen (vocals/guitar/dulcimer), Trond Øverland (bass/piano),
