Freddie Waters

Freddie Waters has gotten lost in the crevices of music's past, now probably sitting in a dimly lit corner of every music collector's memory. What's troubling about his disappearance is that his music has vanished from public consciousness as well, despite the fact that he is a tremendous singer with a voice that seems woven from silk and wrapped in velvet. Just how graceful is Waters' movement through his songs, where his voice hangs in the air, only touching down ephemerally? Enough to make Al Green comparisons seem like understatements.
