Gaj

GAJ, formed in 1998, are an indie band from Castres, France. From the beginning they got support from songster Jean Pradelles and his brother Pierre -who helped to record the first three albums. With their blend of soft folk music and thoughtful lyrics, they would often tour as a quartet, but line-up changes took place in 2009 and additional musicians were needed for a more pop/rock approach. Gaj started playing in bigger venues... and in 2017, when they met Phil Bonnafous (Akhenaton, Daniel Guichard, Fabian Ordonez ..) who produced their 4th LP, the songwriting level had already reached new heights. Heirs to singers such as Charles Aznavour or Jean-Louis Aubert, Gaj, just like their fellow citizen Lou, bring a new twist to classic French Chanson, and people love them for that : despite the language difference, Gaj benefit from a global audience : more than 65 countries worldwide !
