geek sleep sheep

geek sleep sheep are a Japanese supergroup formed by members of three successful bands, Kasuhiro Momo from Mo'some Tonebender, Miyoko Nakamura from Ling Tosite Sigure and L'arc-en-Ciel's Yukihiro. The band was put together in 2013 and their unmistakably indie sounding debut single 'Hitsui' had critics comparing them to Supercar, a band considered by many to be one of the most influential Japanese indie bands from the turn of the century. The launch of the band heralded a resurgence of interest amongst young Japanese record buyers in the dreamy shoegazing style pioneered by so many US and UK bands during the 1990s. © ©Copyright Music Story 2020
