HAVASI

Artist, Contributor

The music world has never seen a phenomenon like Havasi: composer, pianist, entertainer, showman.

The classically trained Hungarian superstar is all of those, presenting his own piano compositions in an extravagant rock-star spectacle in vast arenas - orchestra, choir, fireworks and all.

Havasi draws inspiration from different ages and different genres. A graduate of Hungary’s most prestigious conservatoire, his classical roots come from Liszt and Chopin, filtered through today’s piano superstars like Einaudi and Frahm and the widescreen scope of soundtrack composers like Morricone and Horner.

“I’m not interested in labels like classical and rock. Like the old cliche says, there are only two types of music - good and bad. And I just want to play what moves me emotionally. That’s all I have ever wanted. I need to have those goosebumps when I play.”
