J-Wats, born Watsaba Jude is a Ugandan singer and rapper (Recording/ Perfoming artist) born 13th December, 1995 in Jinja (Uganda). He describes his style as "The translation", hence fusing the local language (Luganda) with English together.
He started his career at the age of 16, and is also a producer. This clearly reveals his passion for music. He has worked on songs like Holding The Light, Fancy, Man Of The Year, Down On Me featuring The Mith, Buli Kiro with Play 01. He had a successful 2017 that saw him sqoop a double nomination in the much hyped Uganda Hip-hop Awards in the "Rookie of The Year" and "Song Of The Year" categories, freshest rapper J-Wats is determined to keep his inaugural hit tune Man Of The Year- like spirit up there.
He released his debut Album "ON MY OWN" on 18th May 2018, that comprises 16 tracks and featuring over 10 artists from across the continent. The album contains an urban sound, with different genres describing J-Wats' versatility.
