Jafu

JAFÚ is a Mexican pop duo formed by young musicians, Jaime Alverde and Emilio Fuentes. The name JAFÚ is an acronym for the first two letters of Jaime’s name (oJA) and the first two letters of Emilio’s last name (FU). 
 Jaime and Emilio are lifelong friends and they have always shared a passion for music, but it was not until early 2017 that they decided to pursue a professional career out of it. Their first single, “Promesas al Aire”, was released in March 2017 and they have since been steadily releasing more singles, thereby increasing their fanbase and gaining more media attention. JAFÚ are based in Mexico City. They are currently working with the top talent management agencies and music producers in the country, gradually positioning themselves as one of the most important independent music groups nationwide. The duo will begin to explore new music genres in the near future. While pop will be predominant, evolution towards latin and tropical vibes is one of the main objectives for JAFÚ.
