Jay Lozada

Puerto Rican Jay Lozada, brother of popular rap performer Vico C (born Luis Armando Lozada), was influenced by prominent local salsa singers at a very young age. After participating in different bands, such as la Mezcla and Tercera Generación, Jay Lozada signed up to Universal, making his self-titled debut album, released in 2001. Christian Castro's "Por Amarte Así," adapted by Nelson Jaime, became his first hit. ~ Drago Bonacich
