Jessica Jung is an American-born K-pop singer. She was a founder member of K-pop girl group Girls' Generation. After leaving the band in 2014, Jung focused on her business career, which includes her fashion brand Blanc & Eclare, opening a flagship store in New York. Prior to the formation of the band, Jung served a seven year apprenticeship with Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment, having been talent spotted while on holiday in South Korea. During her time with Girl's Generation, Jung was also able to release several singles and EPs including 'Butterfly' in 2012, a single that she recorded as a collaboration with her sister Krystal Jung. Her first two post-Girls' Generation albums continued with the popularity she had garnered, both going to the number one spot in the South Korean Goan Album Chart in 2016. Her third album, 'My Decade' released in 2017, charted at number four. Throughout her career to date, Jung has also appeared in numerous TV projects including a reality series with her sister that airs in the USA. Her most recent musical output came in 2019 with the release of her single 'Call Me Before You Sleep' with Girliboy and Elly as a digital download only. © ©Copyright Music Story 2020
