Best known as the lead singer and bassist/guitarist for English indie rockers Doves, Jamie Francis Alexander Goodwin (Jimi Goodwin) was born in the city of Manchester on May 28, 1970. The multi-instrumentalist (he'll often swap places with Doves drummer Andy Williams) has issued four full-length albums with the group, Lost Souls (2000), The Last Broadcast (2002), Some Cities (2005), and Kingdom of Rust (2009), and contributed to recordings by Electronic, Lamb, Cherry Ghost, Mark Lanegan, Soulsavers, and Elbow.
