Jovan Landry

Jovan Landry is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist. The "One-Third Emcee" is known for her articulate lyrics and energetic stage presence, matched with an androgynous-athletic swagger. In the span of a decade, Landry has self-released 5 projects, taught music workshops, and graced stages throughout the U.S and internationally. In 2017, Jovan was awarded the WeWork Creator Awards to create her 5th album Synergy, the first all-women produced & performed hip-hop album. Since its release, the collective has donated CD copies to Universal Hip-Hop Museum archives, hosted a workshop series for young women, featured on ABC7 Windy City Live, NPR and the Women in Hip-Hop Conference at St. Louis University.
