A refugee from Kosovo who grew up in Chicago, Kabashi’s sound is steeped in melodic, lyric-forward hip-hop and is touched by Kendrick Lamar, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest and takes on world politics while exploring the inner ego and the strength of humanity. For Kabashi, music is a critical lens to better see the reality we inhabit. He develops rich multi-instrumental tracks with creative and direct lyricism that surface compassion over envy, growth over destruction.
