Kevin Davidson is a pastor, singer, and songwriter best known for leading the contemporary gospel choir
Kevin Davidson & the Voices. Originally
Voices of Binghampton, the choir released its first album as
Kevin Davidson & the Voices, Celebrate, on New Haven Records in 1998. Language of the Millennium followed in 2000, and their third album, 2001's Soultown USA, continued to incorporate elements of funk and urban contemporary into their exuberant sound. Full Circle and Overflow followed suit in 2003 and 2006, respectively. In 2008, New Haven selected 14 songs from a decade of recordings for The Best of Kevin Davidson and the Voices.
Davidson released the solo album
Chapter 1 in 2010 and went on to record with UCICC Fellowship Choir, issuing "The Declaration" in 2013. He rejoined
the Voices for the self-released single "Help Is on the Way" in 2016. ~ Marcy Donelson
