Lady Lu

Lady Lu is the stage name of Brazilian model, actress and singer Luciane Caeiro. She was born in San Paulo in 1976 and began her performing career at the age of 12 working in children's television productions. At the age of 14 she won a modelling competition and her success on the catwalk eventually led to her being offered an opportunity for a recording career with Sony. Initially she performed in a lambada group called As Ladies and made her recording debut at the age of 15 on the album 'Dance music' in 1991. She went on to perform all over the world, her music embracing various genres including lambada, pop, dance, techno and zouk with her albums selling millions of copies throughout Latin America. Her most recent recording was the 2018 EP 'La Lu' which contained a collection of old material combined with some new songs including the reggaeton track 'Bail Baila' which became a chart hit. © ©Copyright Music Story 2020
