Albany’s shoegazey dream pop band Laveda is composed of Jake Brooks and Ali Genevich. The duo morphs a singer-songwriter style with layered, overwhelming and rugged guitar energies. Laveda’s formal debut single “Dream. Sleep.” premiered on Pitchfork Radio February 15, 2019 by Pitchfork Radio host and Talkhouse podcaster Elia Einhorn.

Currently Ali and Jake are touring across the East Coast U.S. and Canada promoting their latest single “Better Now”, while wrapping up the recording of a 9-song LP in Albany / Brooklyn, NY. Their debut album will be pressed onto 12” vinyl later this year.
