Hailing from Los Angeles, the alternative pop/rock outfit
Low Millions feature singer/guitarist
Adam Cohen, guitarist
Michael Chaves, bassist
Jorgen Carlsson, and drummer Eric Eldenius. Before he launched
Low Millions,
Cohen -- son of famed singer/songwriter
Leonard Cohen -- released a self-titled solo effort in 1998. He also maintained a solo career as a French-language artist, releasing Melancolista in 2004. Via connections in the L.A. scene,
Cohen hooked up with
Chaves (who, at the time, was playing guitar for
John Mayer) and fellow session players
Carlsson and Eldenius.
Low Millions' debut album,
Ex-Girlfriends, arrived in late 2004 on Manhattan Records and spawned two minor hits, "Eleanor" and "Statue." ~ Heather Phares
