The Italian rapper known as Madame is Francesca Calearo, a young girl who has been building a reputation among hip-hop audiences through a series of self-promoted uploads on social media platforms.Rap and hip-hop in Italy is a male-dominated genre, even more so than in the USA, which is why Calearo's success has been so unusual and newsworthy in her native country. She was born in Vicenza in 2002 and began releasing material whilst still at high school. Since its release in 2018, her second single 'Sciccherie' has accrued more than seven million hits on YouTube establishing the Venetian rapper as a significant emerging talent on the Italian hip-hop scene. © ©Copyright Music Story 2020
