As a cello soloist and leader of the Baroque chamber ensemble
Accademia Ottoboni,
Marco Ceccato has established a reputation as a virtuoso performer, particularly in Baroque concerto repertoire, and as a recording artist. Born in France,
Ceccato has worked primarily in Italy, and he has recorded albums with his own ensemble, working with harpsichordist
Anna Fontana, theorbist and guitarist
Francesco Romano, cellist
Rebeca Ferri, and double bassist Matteo Coticoni.
Ceccato also performed as soloist in a recording of
Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 1 in C major with
Gli Incogniti, in collaboration with violinist and conductor
Amandine Beyer. He has released albums of works by
Luigi Boccherini and
Antonio Vivaldi, as well as Pietro Gaetano Boni, Filippo Amadei, Nicola Francesco Haym, Giuseppe Maria Perroni, Giovanni Battista Costanzi, Giovanni Battista Bononcini, and Giovanni Lorenzo Lulier, demonstrating a commitment to even the most obscure composers of the Baroque era.
Ceccato has recorded primarily for Zig Zag Territoires and Alpha, and he has also edited publications for Musedita Edizioni Musicali.
