MICKS is an Australian Independent Songwriter and Country Recording Artist. She has her musical roots firmly lodged in Country/Pop, owning a writing style inspired by some of the greats specifically: Stevie Nicks, Faith Hill and Taylor Swift. Micks began writing songs based on life events from a young age, composing her lyrics and melodies on self-taught acoustic guitar.

Beginning her career in 2014, Micks has written several highly well received singles, including an iTunes Topping Country Album, Have Faith – EP, debuting June of 2016. Alongside writing and co-producing her charting singles, Micks has written and arranged songs for other International artists, from varying genres of music.

Micks’ debut single, Time to Grow, saw her International supporter base begin. Time to Grow, was selected to feature as part of a compilation album, The Sounds Of Summer, on Amazon Music ® in the United States, as well as charting high as an Independent release on United Kingdom Music Platform InMusik.

Her single releases Time to Grow, Fade Away, New Life and Catch Me If I Fall, have been extensively played on Radio Stations in Argentina, Brazil and Italy to name a few.

New Life was originally released in support of the White Ribbon Foundation in 2015. Micks pledged 50% of New Life’s music sales to the White Ribbon Foundation. New Life was later released as Micks’ first official US Country Radio Single in August 2016. After achieving a ten-day top 5 download streak on PLAY MPE, New Life continues its success on a high spin rotation across 70+ Radio Stations in the US.
Alongside music promotions, Micks uses her growing social media following to support various not-for-profit organizations, such as the RSPCA. Micks is an RSPCA Ambassador offering her music for free licensing to the charity, while appearing at RSPCA events to both perform and spread awareness of animal cruelty.

June 2016 marked the release of Micks’ debut EP through her Independent record label, KMC Records. Micks’, Have Faith – EP, included her singles: Time To Grow, Fade Away, New Life, Catch Me If I Fall and unreleased track I Need You, peaking at #9 on the Australian iTunes Country Album Charts. Micks’ music videos also regularly appear on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel (CMC).

April 2017 Micks’ single Chasing Forever, broke the Australian Top 20 iTunes Country Singles Chart on it’s release day. No small feat for an Independent artist with no major record label backing. Chasing Forever has joined New Life with 60+ stations currently spinning the single across the US.

In collaboration with Tourism and Events Queensland, Micks released her latest single, Everything Will Be Alright, dedicated to the people of The Whitsundays, whom are still in region recovery post Ex-tropical Cyclone Debbie.

July 2017 Micks graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Communications and is continually writing and recording new original material to share with her loyal supporters.
