Grammy nominated producer, songwriter & artist Monro is not someone you can box. Far from a beat maker, the UK based musician is respected for crafting songs and approaching each track with a unique perspective. Monro’s childhood was influenced by a medley of hip hop, rock, pop and R&B music, which created an ear for melody and a well rounded pallet to select from in the studio. With recent credits including Jhené Aiko's platinum selling ‘Triggered (freestyle)’’, Rico Nasty's ‘My Little Alien’ and a slew of cuts on Sinead Harnett's debut album ‘Lessons In Love’ - it’s safe to say those influences have been put to good use. Since dropping his first EP via East London's Rinse FM label – a platform synonymous with the innovative emergence of underground genres like Grime & Dubstep - Monro has collaborated with names across the UK scene including Flohio & Ay Em. His upcoming EP aims to cross pollinate artists from the UK with those based in the US, continuing with new single 'Selfish' featuring P-Lo & Ari PenSmith. With more new music & a new producer based YouTube series 'Cabin Cookups' just launched (featuring peers including GRADES & JD. Reid), alongside an ever growing list of production and writing cuts amassing over 250 million streams, Monro’s 2020 was a defining year - highlighted by his relentless work ethic and ability to bring people together.
