Murry Wilson

Murry Wilson

Although Murry Wilson released only one album in his lifetime--the easy-listening classic THE MANY MOODS OF--he was a highly influential producer, manager, and music publisher for one of the biggest acts in pop history, the Beach Boys. He was also the father of the band's Dennis and Brian Wilson, and the uncle of singer Mike Love. A famously tough micromanager, Wilson oversaw every aspect of the Beach Boys' career, and even guided them after he was fired. He died at the age of 55 in 1973.
