Nate57 developed a passion for hip-hop from a young age, and after honing his MC skills with producer brother Blacky White, released his first mixtape, Wilkommen auf St. Pauli, through Rattos Locos Records in 2008. A year later he teamed up with Telly Telz on the collaborative effort Verruckte Ratten, whose closing track, "Blaulicht," brought him to the attention of the likes of
Sido,
Farid Bang, and
Fler. His first full-length solo album, Stress Aufm Kiez, arrived in 2010 and was followed by the mixtape
