Ntantu

Ntantu

Hailing from Leeds, Ntantu is a UK Rap & RnB artist fusing his sound with African Diaspora inspired music. Ntantu has spent the last 3 years touring as a support act; with fellow Leeds native Danny-T. In 2020 they were both set to make their Glastonbury Festival debuts, before the event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After supporting Danny-T in 2019 at his Leeds First Direct Arena headline show, Ntantu had already caught the ears of Apple Beats 1 DJ Charlie Sloth! Also, a number of BBC 1Xtra DJ’s such as DJ Target have championed the UK act saying, "If you don't know about Ntantu by now, I’m sure you'll want to know after this”. Ntantu has had recent success with radio play, his latest release titles “Pressure (Oh My Goodness) was debuted on BBC Radio 1 in early 2021. Ntantu has also been added to the BBC 1xtra playlist in 2018 with his “Love & Leave You” release in 2018. Ntantu has been busy with writing and releasing his first short film, “Flight” was nominated for an award at the Leeds Film Festival 2019. He was also part of the Leeds 2023 bid for the European Capital of Culture, as he starred in a film that aimed to promote Leeds, using a spoken word piece. This attracted the attention of the likes of Channel 4’s Random Acts. Since then he has made a number of appearances on BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Leeds Look North News and ITN’s Calendar News. Over the years he has made a name for himself as a standout performer, most notably being billed on the same line ups as the likes of Young T & Bugsey, Becky Hill, Ms Banks, Wiley, Lethal Bizzle, Wretch 32, and D Double E to name a few. Ntantu has also worked with the recently crowned UK Rap Game Champ Graft, and is motivated to help put Leeds on the map in the UK music scene.
