Oliver Francis is the stage name of Alex Kelly, a rapper and producer from Columbia, Missouri, who gained an online following for his assertive rhymes and atmospheric beats during the late 2010s. While his lyrics were initially violent, he gradually shifted to more reflective themes on releases such as 2017's Chlorine.
Francis learned to play guitar as a teenager, and started playing in bands and rapping while in high school. After releasing music under several different names since 2007, he started to attract a following when he began posting music videos in 2012. Two of his most well-known songs, "AAYEAHH" and "wwaavvyy," were both released in 2016. In 2017, Francis issued the albums Chlorine and A Million Miles an Hour, as well as the EP Essentials. Infinity Boy appeared in 2018, followed by Crown of Death in 2019. ~ Paul Simpson
