Prequell is the symphonic-electronic music project of French composer
Thomas Roussel. Mixing real strings with synths, club-friendly beats, occasional guest vocalists, and even samples of outer space sounds from NASA,
Prequell emerged from
Roussel's work in haute couture, where he designed show music for the likes of Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Chanel, and Pigalle.
Prequell's debut album,
The Future Comes Before, featured members of the
London Symphony Orchestra, with guest spots by
Rae Morris,
Shy Girls, and
Fyfe, among others. It was released on Universal labels
Verve and Pantheon in the fall of 2017. ~ Marcy Donelson
