Roberto Pla

A master timbale player, Roberto Pla has given a new voice to the rhythmic sounds of his homeland of Colombia. Together with his brass-driven 14-piece, band, Latin Ensemble, Pla continues to weave his infectuous mix of salsa, cumbia, and Afro-Cuban jazz. Pla's resume includes work with New York-based salsa band Orquestra La Tradicion, and tours with percussionist Carlos "Patato" Valdes and Fania All Stars' vocalist Adalberto Santiago.
