Samrat Pandit is an Indian classical vocalist of Patiala Gharana, a school of Hindustani classical vocal music. Following the steps of his father Pt. Jagdish Prasad and his father's guru Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Being the 6th generation of his family into music, his talent surfaced early in his childhood when he recognized complex Ragas and made notations of any music played to him. At age 5, he participated in the “Bal Kalakar” program of the National Indian Radio for young prodigies.
At age 10, Samrat Pandit began to accompany his father in concerts around the world and on television.
Being a certified Radio Artist in India, he records regularly at the national radio as a solo artist. He accompanied his father on stage until 2011 and received in 2014 the Sangeeta Shiromani Award by the governor of Maharastra. He performed in India in major musical conferences and
started touring abroad the country in 2013 in Europe, North America and Asia. He also recorded CDs and DVDs supported by famous artists.
