Sean Lock

Sean Lock was a comedian, writer, and television presenter and panelist. Born April 22, 1963 in Chertsey, Surrey, Lock got his start as a stand-up comedian before getting a break in his appearance on Rob Newman and David Baddiel's program, Newman and Baddiel in Pieces. That led to a support slot for the comedy duo, which in turn led to writing gigs for such up and comers as Bill Bailey. In terms of the aforementioned Bailey, Lock was a script editor for the BBC2 program, Is It Bill Bailey? and eventually worked his way up to his own radio show, for BBC Radio, entitled 15 Minutes of Misery. 15 Minutes eventually gave way to the radio sitcom 15 Storeys High, and after two highly successful series, Lock moved to television, where he kept the show going for two more seasons. He went on to be a panelist on a number of television shows, and in 2006 landed his own entertainment show on Channel 4 called TV Heaven, Telly Hell. In the midst of all of his television and radio work, Lock kept up with his stand up comedy, playing successful and well-received shows all over England. © Chris True /TiVo
