With lyrics that are both deeply personal and heavily relatable, and a timeless sound that is rooted in R&B yet remains genre fluid, sectiontoo (real name Sean Lawrence), a 24 year old artist, producer, and songwriter from Queens, NY, brings a unique voice and perspective to contemporary music. Working with longtime friend and close collaborator, producer Will Fisher (aka identite crisis), 2019’s Portrait EP was a stunning, soulful debut that put sectiontoo’s range (both vocally and sonically) on full display. Since then, sectiontoo has released a handful of singles that continue to showcase his sonic versatility and growth as a songwriter and artist. The full-length follow-up to Portrait is slated to be released later this year.
