An Ivorian singer, songwriter, and producer,
Serge Beynaud turned heads in 2012 with his debut album,
Seul Dieu, and cemented his place at the fore of the coupé-décalé scene three years later with the hit "Fouinta Fouinte."
A native of Yopougon in the southeast of Abidjan,
Beynaud began dabbling in music at the age of seven and started performing and recording while still in his teens. His 2012 debut
Seul Dieu introduced audiences to his chic, melody-driven brand of coupé-décalé, but it was his sophomore effort, 2014's Talehi, that made him a star. His third long-player, 2017's Accelerate, was met with similar acclaim and included features from a slew of Ivorian heavyweights like
Diamond Platnumz, Krys, and
Iyanya, as did the 2020 EP Trilogie, which yielded the hit "Mundala," which featured
Didi B and
