Another 5 years they let the "Vallekanos" pass before hitting the table again with "GAME OVER". A blow that we needed to hear and listen to, for the desire to live and fight, for SKA-P, for the awakening in music and its lyrics. Recorded and produced once again by Tony López, the result is once again spectacular. A richer and more current sound without losing its essence of SKA, daring with a lot of fusion and rhythms that had not been heard until now, but, without a doubt and in spite of all this mixture, maintaining that sound so own and characteristic of the band, that SKA-P SOUND, the sound that has permeated all corners.
GAME OVER, composed of 12 cuts, is a declaration of intent, a so far we have come, an awakening. Without a doubt and in spite of the 5 years that have passed, the problems within society continue to be the same, it could not be any other way, SKA-P, has not accommodated itself and remains firm to a discourse, its discourse, which we hope will be our dawn in the face of many problems, which spreads a fight for what is ours, the message is clear, the people apart from being the oppressed are the ones who must always come out of all the problems, always on the basis of their struggle and work... Letters without hair on the tongue, without self- censorship, without fear of what they will say or where they will not sound and with the truth that many others keep silent, that mute and palpable truth due to the famous FEAR. A struggle that must continue and achieve a revolution in which THE UNITED PEOPLE WILL NEVER BE VICTIMED.
GAME OVER are 12 darts poisoned directly to the oppressor, 12 rays of hope to the public of SKA-P, where the rhythms of SKA have merged with the aggressiveness of punk, the relaxation of reggae, Latin rhythms and where they have dared with other fusions and sounds more current, with arrangements of first and without losing the essence that we all seek in the group.
An outstanding work once again in their voices and with an impressive rhythm, the wind section impeccable one more time, accompanied by a great work of keyboards and more harmonious and aggressive guitars that the band has us used to. Giving place to the SKA-P sound, to the sound that led the band to be internationally known.
A mixture of sounds gathered in all their international tours and captured in 12 authentic songs that begin with "A Chitón" where the group fights again to not shut us up, "Eurotrama" without a doubt the most punk song of the CD and with a message to this true "European dictatorship". It continues with "No lo vuelé a lo más" the most festive single of this new work, where the band takes revenge without complexes of what is a hymn, to which they already have us used to, raising the difficulty once again in their repertoires for live. It continues with "The Lobby Man" a song with a strong message in front of these tie, "Colores" talks about sexual freedom, daring the band with a multitude of sounds, "La Fábrica" a working class revolution with SKA-P sound and a mid-song arrangement that you don't want to miss.
"Patriotadas" a declaration of intentions with a ranch touch to the wrongly called patriots who with their hypocrisy sell us something that they evidently spread but do not practice, "Cruz, Oro y sangre" a repentance to the atrocity and genocide of the wrongly called discovery of a world that already existed, continues an "Adoctrinad@s" full of arrangements and rhythms with a direct and clear moral, an awakening to indoctrination. The final trio continues with "El bufón" a character who defends everything that happens around us with a catchy chorus, we arrive at "Brave Girls" one of the singles that will not leave anyone indifferent either because of its 100% anti-machismo message and a plea for women, or because of its hyper-actual sound, where the band dares with sounds that were not sought until now; A fight for equality deserves such a theme, closing the album with a true declaration of intent, "Jaque al Rey" their single where they dare to beat even a "Tecnoska" a dart poisoned into an obtuse and archaic system.
