Slickaphonics

Electric Funk as played by avant-garde leaning musicians and led by trombonist/part-time singer Ray Anderson. They're a tight band, their solos are on the money, and the tunes are pretty strong; the kicker is how you react to Anderson's weathered, out-of-touch vocals or to musician-minted lyrics such as, "Procrastination / Well, it's all across the U.S.A.!!"
