the Spudmonsters play an aggressive brand of hardcore punk-influenced alternative/rap-metal. Formed in 1989, the group consisted of vocalist Don Foose, guitarists Scott Roberts and Chris Andrews, bassist Steve Swanson, and drummer
Eric Matthews; they built a strong following in the Midwest through touring and signed with Germany's Massacre label in 1992. Their debut album, Stop the Madness, was released in 1993, appearing in the U.S. the following year. 1995 saw the band's second Massacre album, No Guarantees; Andrews left the band a year later and was replaced by Eric Klinger for
the Spudmonsters' first album for Century Media, Moment of Truth. ~ Steve Huey
