Tim Neufeld is a Juno-winning contemporary Christian artist known for both his solo work and as lead singer of the alt-CCM band
Starfield. He co-founded
Starfield with his brother
Jon Neufeld in Winnipeg in 1998. The band released seven albums and earned multiple Juno Award nominations before
Tim, by then based in Abbotsford near Vancouver, released his solo debut, Trees, in 2013. The set of slick, indie folk-styled covers of popular worship songs went on to win a Juno for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year. Joined by
the Glory Boys, he followed up a year later with the more bluegrass-flavored The Joy. Trees, Chapter 2 arrived in the fall of 2015 and also received a Juno nomination. With
Starfield on hiatus, his second album with
the Glory Boys was scheduled for release in the latter half of 2016. ~ Marcy Donelson
