Tokso

Tokso is a String Quartet, and yet not a String Quartet, with a unique sound never heard before. Norwegian hardanger fiddle player Anne Hytta founded Tokso in 2008 with Greek lyra player Kelly Thoma, French nyckelharpa player Eléonore Billy, and Belgian cellist Leonor Palazzo. Cellist Sigrun Eng appears on CD release “Cor Amant”. When the 4 musicians from 4 different parts of Europe come together and unite their sounds, no less than 53 strings start vibrating in intense interaction.
