Vernon Green

This mid- to late-'50s vocal group on Dootone is best known for the songs "The Letter," "Edna," and "Buick '59." The group had two distinct sides to its work, romantic ballads sung straight, in almost agonizing purity, and faster rocking numbers that were partly tongue in cheek. ~ Bruce Eder
