Originally starting his career behind the scenes, Manchester-born and bred
White N3rd (aka Scott Wild) started producing dance music in his bedroom studio while studying at Manchester City College. Inspired by mid-'90s hip-hop and the U.K. rave scene, Wild built a career producing, composing, and writing for other artists such as
M.O.,
MNEK, and
Diplo, and in 2014 formed the DJ collective
LuvBug with former
JLS member Marvin Humes and fellow producer JKAY. With the
LuvBug singles Resonance and Revive (Say Something) faring well on the U.K. charts, Wild became even more sought after as a producer, and in 2015 co-wrote and produced U.K. garage star
Craig David's hit single "When the Bassline Drops." In 2016 Wild branched out on his own with the debut track "That Thing," while also signing to Ministry of Sound. The Baby D and
Silk-sampling second single Freaky with You appeared in July. ~ Rich Wilson
