Seattle-bred singer
Whitney Phillips first made her name writing songs for high-profile artists. After moving to Los Angeles,
Phillips co-wrote the
Kylie Minogue song "Black and White" alongside
Minogue herself and Garibay in 2015. Having added such a well-respected credit to her CV, the writing offers kept coming. In 2016 she co-wrote
Cher Lloyd's track "Activated" and also featured on Bobby Green's single "Lights." The following year she wrote
DJ Cassidy's track "Honor," which also featured
Lil Yachty and
Grace. Later that year
Phillips also appeared on Stockholm duo
Indiia's single "Out of Love." ~ Bekki Bemrose
